🤝 Working as a team in EdBuild AI
Teams let several trainers collaborate on building e-learning courses: sharing courses, credits and branding, with access rights that you control.
👤 Create a team and invite trainers
Any trainer can create a team: they automatically become its admin and give it a name.
Invite other trainers by email. They join with Member status, which you can switch to Admin at any time.
If the invited trainer does not yet have an EdBuild AI account, they receive an email to create one and join the team automatically. If they already have an account, the email lets them join directly.
🪑 Trainer seats, account and teams: do not mix them up
The trainers you invite into a team are the users attached to the trainer seats on your account. Every non-learner user takes up a trainer seat, including the account administrator. The number of seats included depends on your plan, and extra seats can be added as an add-on from the Subscription page.
On a single account, you can create several teams: each trainer can create their own and become its admin.
⚠️ A team admin and an EdBuild AI account admin are two different things. A team admin manages the sharing of courses, credits and branding within that team. The account admin manages the subscription, the seats, the learner licenses and the organization settings.
🔐 Set the sharing rules
As soon as the team is created, you choose a sharing rule that applies by default to all your courses:
Editable: members can edit your courses
Visible in read-only: members can view them without editing
Not visible: your courses are not shared
🎚️ Set sharing course by course
By default, all your courses follow the team's global rule. You can, however, set a specific rule for one course: from the course home page, open the Team tab (next to Distribution) and choose the rule you want.
👉 This rule overrides the team's global rule, for that course only.
💳 Share credits
Assign credits to a trainer at the time of the invitation.
You can also share credits with them later on, once they have joined the team.
🎨 Share your branding
Once the trainer is in the team, you can share your branding with them (logo, colors) so that courses stay consistent across the team.
