📄 How to generate certificates for your learners (attendance, course completion)?

Written by Benjamin Sitbon

📄 Two types of certificates

EdBuild AI generates two types of PDF certificates for your learners:

  • Attendance certificate: details the time actually spent on each activity and the progress made. Ideal for CPF / Caisse des DĂŠpĂ´ts audits.

  • Course completion certificate: confirms that the learner has completed the entire course, with their consolidated results.

Both certificates automatically pick up your branding (logo, colors) and the details of your training organization entered under Settings → Organization.

📅 When are they available?

  • Attendance certificate: as soon as the learner has started the course (cumulative time spent)

  • Course completion certificate: as soon as the learner has completed 100% of the mandatory activities

📥 Generating an individual certificate

  1. Go to Licences or open the course concerned

  2. Click the learner to open their record

  3. Click Certificates

  4. Choose the type (Attendance or Course completion)

  5. The PDF is generated and downloaded immediately

📦 Generating several certificates at once

For a session or a group, you can download a ZIP containing all the certificates:

  1. Open the course

  2. Click Export / Bulk certificates

  3. Choose the certificate type and the learner group concerned

  4. Download the generated ZIP

🔍 What does a certificate contain?

Attendance certificate:

  • Learner first name and last name

  • Course title

  • Breakdown of the time spent per activity

  • Breakdown of the login dates

  • Reference to the IP audit (traceability compliant with CDC requirements)

  • Digital stamp and signature of your organization

Course completion certificate:

  • Learner first name and last name

  • Course title and duration

  • Completion date

  • Overall results (scores, success rate)

  • Digital stamp and signature of your organization

✅ CPF / CDC compliance

The certificates are designed to meet the requirements of the Caisse des DĂŠpĂ´ts in the event of an audit of a CPF-funded learning path:

  • Proof of identity of the learner (link with their account)

  • Proof of attendance and activity (detailed time spent + IP traceability)

  • Instructional evidence (completed activities, scores)

  • Proof of certification (signed final certificate)
